Cold Hypodense Nodule

Hi. I'm 38 years old female and they recently found a  3 mm hypodense cold nodule on the right lobe of my thyroid gland. The discovery was i had lower neck pain and my doctor sent me for a nuclear scan. Iodine didn't absorb the nodule. So i had a ultra sound and it showed i mild enlargement of the right lobe of the thyroid gland with a 3 mm hypodense nodule. I'm going July 23rd. for aspiration to byopsy. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please Help!

I am having my biopsy on the 21st so I will let you know how it goes.  I too have a cold nodule.  Mine is on the right side and is larger than they usually see, or so I am told.  The right side of my thyroid is also enlarged, report states "probably d/t the probably nodule".  Lots of "probables" which makes waiting much worse.  Prayers to you.

Hi. They first did a nuclear scan and it showed a cold hypodense nodule. That's why they want a biopsy. I'm seeing a general surgeon on July 23rd. It's being done at a regular Hospital. How is everything with you..
