Cytomel & Armour

Graves Disease 1978 following by two RAI sessions, permanently hypothyroid.  Took Synthyroid for 20+ years and have not felt well.  Went on T3 3 years ago and did well but lately more hypo symptoms.  Now will be taking 50 Cytomel and 1 grain of Armour to start out with.  My systoms are hair loss, ear ringing, tired, not sleeping.  Anyone tried T3 with Armour.   I am praying this will work and reverse my symptoms.

I take 30mg Armour and 5 mcg Cytomel in the morning at 6:30am  and 30mg Armour and 5 McG Cytomel again at 3pm. I feel great, much better than when they had me on just 30mg Armour once a day.

I am wondering how taking cytomel and armour together has been working for you. I have been considering trying the same since my tsh and t4 levels are ok, but my t3 levels are crazy. Thanks.

THat is a good question. I am newly diagnosed hypo on armour thyroid. In my reading armour has T3 and T4, so I have not heard of cytomel being added. Did your dr tell you the reason behind that? I'd like to know, in case it is something, I should get as well.

Thanks for bringing this up....Peggy
