All people have antibodies to some extent, even thyroid healthy people do! The thyroid diseases just make antibodies elevate beyond what is considered normal.
That is why the 'range' is actually a limit that, once again, varies per type of testing procedure used per lab.
I am not a doc so I am not sure. But I have the understanding you can still have antibodies and they come and go. Your child is in the normal range for everything.
If he had over the normal range ft3 and ft4 were elevated and his tsh was below 0.30 then he would have classic Graves but his antibodies would need to be elevated also. But they are all in normal range.
I am not a doc so it is best to ask you doc.
How can you have any antibodies and not have the disease? I am just trying to understand this. Why would it not be 0?
