Are you talking hyper or hypo.
Are you diagnosed and treated.
No, ma'am...just trying to find out what's wrong...saw my blood work...it's in the low 90's...trying to find info on hyper...thanks so much!
...ooops...mean...point 91 (TSH = .91)...just unsure what that means...what direction the thyroid is going...I eat too much...still losing weight...thanks.
A TSH of .91 is perfect.
The range is 0.5 to 5.0 or 0.45 to 3.5 or some such.
Your's is right where any doctor would like to see it.
Have you had other tests and what were they?
Its hyper direction. But well within reference range of US Guidelines.
There are diagnose ranges and different ones for hyper and different ones for hypo.
Then, there are different ranges for different thyroid conditions.
Then, there is target rages for already diagnosed and treated patients, as mentioned above by ar-10
Then, there are different ranges for different thyroid conditions, such as thyroid cancer or nodules.
Then on top of all that, ranges will very from Lab to Lab, town/county to town/county, state to state and country to country, etc. etc. etc.
Its not all that simple as "The range is 0.5 to 5.0 or 0.45 to 3.5 or some such."
It's low normal, but right where most doctors would like to see you.
That is why I asked what other tests were run and what the results were.
A TSH of 0.91 does not indicate hyperthyroid.
And nothing about thyroid disease is "all that simple".
