Medication Help

I have  problems with taking the synthroid medications.  I can't take them I get very restless, shaky, heart raising etc.  I feel over excited and restless.   Mostly I don't take them because of this and of course my test results keep coming back the same.  Is there anything else for this and do others have the same problem ?

thanks so much.  I am going to go see an Endocrinologist since to see what we can do since I just can't take this medication at all.  thanks for any help, it just helps knowing that I'm not crazy and that there are others out there that do have problems with this medication as well and I'm not nuts. :)

Not sure if this helps, but I just ran a three day trial of brand Synthroid and it was terrible! I was anxious, burning scalp, dizzy, etc. Back on generic Levo now and I have no problems. fillers and strength seem to vary in T4 medications.

I experienced 2 things when I had to start taking synthroid.   The first was that I had to raise the dosages of my meds very slowly to get them to the correct level.  It took a few months but if I went too quickly I had the shakes and palpitations etc.  The second was a reaction to the fillers/dyes in the meds.   I now take 2x50 mg a day of synthroid which does not have the dyes in it.

Many patients find specific monitoring of certain labs is best to really start using medication (s) for the condition.

Its hard saying which way you are going without a base T3 hormone lab listed to suggest some options that are avaliable to us.
