I am on Armour and in the last 2 weeks have begun taking Thiroyd from the Philippines. I am taking about 60% Thiroyd and 40% Armour at this point and I like the Thai med. It seems like a smoother energy for some reason.

I ordered the Thiroyd when I learned I could not just get a prescription easily filled for my latest Armour prescription. I had to wait 4 days for it and that is not an option. I need backup and I live 25 miles to the nearest pharmacy.

I am concerned about telling my doctor about taking it, so I may tell him I want to try the American "Westroid P" thyroid and keep the Thai Thiroyd for back-up.

Westroid P is supposed to be hypoallergenic so I am willing to give it a try. If I don't like it, I believe I will stay with the Thai medicine because at this point; I think it is better than Armour. It is also very easy to split the Thai pills, unlike Armour which crumbles and breaks unevenly. I take both medications sub-lingually.

Normally, I take 270 mg of Armour which is high, but I am "thyroid resistant", (my tissues do not take in the third hormone properly). I have no thyroid gland,, it was removed 36 years ago.

I hope this is helpful to you.

Any can say a bit more about natural Thyroid-S and or Thiroyd from Thailand? Where to get?
Why change back to others or why not? Any good experiences or bad ones? Or is this about Armour Thyroid?

So far I have nothing but good things to say about Armour Thyroid. I've tried levothyroxine and Synthroid, given to me by my GP, and neither have made me feel as well as I do now. I have Hashi, so I still do have bad days, but not as many as I use to. I'm not hurting as much either. My endo switched me to Armour and it was the best thing she's done.

Why do you think it is the Armour?  Please post your thyroid lab test results and reference ranges so that members can evaluate.

I have not seen any info that states Armour went back to their old formula. I read rumors on other forums, thats all. Nothing here about it.
