I stopped synthroid

I have taken synthroid 50mg for the last five months I have gained thirty pounds. I originally went to the doctor for weight gain and my daughter had Hashimotos and I knew I had pcod. I am 5'2 and 219 lbs I am on a roller coaster I am fatter than ever. The doctor said I had Diabetes two but gave no medication and I my sugar is about between 90 and 100 when I wake I eat a bowl of cereal it goes to 140. I am not a huge eater I eat cereal and lunch salad and pasta and supper grilled chicken kabobs and rice and peaches and cottage cheese for desert at night . I dont eat much chips or french fries or ice cream or diet drinks.  occasionally I will thin crust pepperoni pizza maybe two slices but I am thirsty all the time so I am constantly drinking water or luzianne decaf tea. He says I have hypo throid but I an increasingly have back problems memory problems In one year my life activity has dropped from being a full time working women to staying at home. i dont believe in sitting around but I am sleepy alot. They say I have muscle spasm in my neck and back . The doctor gave me vitd125mg three time a week and 50 synthroid and skelaxin and aspirin a day. I stopped synthyroid five days ago and now I am coughing my head off with a dry cough. Doctor doing more blood work again will see me next week. Should I call him about cough or is it not connected

Personally I would be getting another Doctor.
If your TSH is what you have typed here in your posting, then you shouldnt be on Synthroid. Your TSH is showing HYPER.

I had a complete Thyroid panel for a year and glucose the sugar stayed at 264 for the test for two hours . Never been near that again, 160 if I am really bad. But thyroid stays at0.100 tsh for over a year and hemoglobin stays at 6.2 and I stay anemic. No one know what is wrong and they just keep wanting more test but no one seems to excited about my problem except I am not working because I tire really quickly and my brain fog gets bad I am not very good at remembering what they said yesterday and I almost think its not worth the effort since the doctor just says lets see what happens next month and the weight is pilling on

Why did you stop the Synthroid?  And what types of blood tests did your doctor do and what were the results of those tests?  I'm no doctor but I think you need to get a fasting glucose test and a complete thyroid panel.  Did you mention to your doctor that you are thirsty all the time?  Just taking Synthroid isn't going to cause you to gain weight. There's something else going on. You need to get proactive in your healthcare.  Get those blood tests and have the results explained to you. And find a doctor who will listen.
