The fact that the appointment is the same time and date makes me think the receptionist misspoke.
I would like to think that if your doctor felt another doctor would benefit you more, he would at least have his nurse let you know in advance.
You're probably at work now, and won't read this soon, but to ease your mind you could call and confirm the time and doctor.
I agree with AR .. but on the other hand it may be a different Dr. and Stella, if this is the case it may not be a BAD THING at all .... You may recall my root canal disaster with that idiot Doc who was using intimidation that I MUST have 2 more root canals for surgery or he won't sign off on my thyroid surgery and will mark it in red ink on my file ...
Well, I saw another endodontist .. was spared one of the two root canals and have found myself a WINNER! The first guy was blown away when I lost it in his office starting bawling my eyes out asking him how much pain a person could take BEFORE thyroid surgery when I just fnished up with one root canal worth 5 visits and now again and could not take Motrin pre-surgery!! I had 3 weeks to go for the thyroid and he wanted 2 root canals of BACK MOLARS!
After I went on a vent spree what I want to say is either way you'll be ok ..

It is possible that you were simply scheduled with the wrong doctor.
As Cheryl said, this may actually turn out to be a good thing- kind of a second opinion. At least this doctor can hear your concerns fresh, on an open mind.
Let us know how it went.
