HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE FOR LEVOTHYROXINE TO BEGIN SHOWING SIGNS OF CORRECTING THE IMBALANCE?

hi annie, did the increse in the syntriod help with your heart papultations, or did it it increse them? just wondering, im going through the same thing after a total tyroid removel. thnks Kevin

I think it can take up to 6 weeks or so.  I know that when they adjust my medication they usually have me come back after 6 weeks for a blood check.. But, in realiity, I think takes more like 12 weeks. That has been my experience. Whenever my dosage is changed my hair will start falling out and it doesn't settle down each time till the 12 week mark.

Hi there - I would like to get some opinions on this too.  I just started Levothyroxine 50mcg 9 days ago and so far really do not feel any different apart from heart palpitations in the evenings.  I am seeing my doc later today to get his opinion on this as I am not happy about it - v scary.  I hope you get some responses to this post.
