I think it will eventually take a huge toll on your body and you will deteriorate. Why would your doctor allow a level that high if you've had a thyroidectomy? Because if it's that high I would guess you aren't on meds. And if you aren't on meds it will just go higher and you will begin to feel miserable if you don't already. Mine got to 251 when I went hypo for RAI and I will just say that there is no other feeling worse than how I felt at that point.
I think you mean your TSH level is in the mid 20's unless I am reading wrong?
There are people here who have had TSH over 100 but yes, if it doesnt come down ...it can be dangerous.
You wouldnt be feeling too good at the moment.
Are you on a T4 medication (synthroid etc) ?
Get your bloods done every 4-6 weeks until you are within reference range and levels are stable.
