Oh my GOSH I am not sure I can do it!

Hey sisters (brothers too) I did back to back (Nuring for those who are new)12 hr shifts mon. & tues. with a full case load both days and I can barely move today...I don't know if I can do this...I am on 3 in a row next week and I am not so sure I can survive the work load...maybe I went back to soon? Maybe my dumb Endo needs to give me more meds!!! I don't know but I know this, I feel like absolute and total refuse...every joint in my 5'3" body is screaming in pain and feet, oh my gosh I have never hurt so bad even when I was hypo post TT...Going to sleep off my day off now ,best to all

Hi, Lisa--

Thank you for making me laugh out loud! Today has not been one of my best-ever days with my thyroid gland. Your post made me say with sincerity, "Thanks; I needed that."

Best wishes,
Jenny

Hi, Lisa--

Now, would I fuss at you over something as minor as spelling my name with an "i," not a "y"?  What kind of sisterhood would that be? In other words, no apology was needed at all, but thank you for thinking that maybe it was.

I am glad that my idea of lending you my endo sounds good to you. All I have to do is figure out a few details, such as how I could coax him into a shipping crate long enough to nail down the lid. :o)

Sending you hugs and "hang in there" thoughts,
Jenny

Maybe your dumb endo *does* need to give you more meds.  :-)

Your energy will come back but it will take some time.  I did both surgeries and the RAI during the holidays (yeah, stupid, I know) and it did take a couple of months to feel "back to normal".  Take as many naps as you can and get that endo to check your levels and see if you need an increase dose!

Hang in there.

thanks kids...rhe part about the endo sounds good jenni, I really deep down think she has my dose way low...thanks for the encouragment verona. I go wens/ for my labs to see just how wrong she has been and to gloat when she see's how right I have been...no I won't gloat but maybe, just maybe in future she will be more inclined to listen to me...we'll see. any way thanks and NO way will they let me do 8 hrs/ that would cause such a cat fight the hospital would never be the same...LOL Tnanks for the support and hope u are both doing well,

Hi, Lisa--

My reaction to three 12-hour shifts in a row of the kind of work you do is "Eek!" Venora raised a really good question, and so did you when you asked "Maybe I went back to soon?" I also suspect you are making a good point when you say that maybe your dumb endo needs to give you more meds. As you said the other day, you know what it feels like when your current med level is not enough. I am continuing to think that it would be nice if I could ship my endo to you as a short-term loan.

I am joining Venora in sending good energy your way...and a lot of sympathy, too.

Sincerely,
Jenny
