I haven't been tested for any antibodies or a free t3. I will ask my endo about doing them.
Have you been tested for thyroid antibodies to check for Hashimoto's or Graves Disease? It's possible to have an autoimmune disease, and still have normal thyroid labs. Agree that you need the FT3.
I dont see a FREE T3 test done.
This is important.
I should also add that I was fine after my first pregnancy but my 2nd pregnancy I developed gestational diabetes(has resolved). I lost all the weight & more after birth. But 7 months after that I rapidly started gaining weight, my hair started falling out, I was always cold and the exhaustion and brain fog set in! Unfortunately I didn't do anything about it, I chalked it up to hormones going crazy after pregnancy. Now I am trying to get it under control.
Oops forgot to say I have all of the symptoms of hypoT. As a kid I had precocious andrenarche that was left untreated.
Sorry! 30 year old female no meds. History of endometriosis. Endo ruling out secondary hypoT and looking at my adrenal levels. My endometriosis specialist confirmed no PCOS. Thanks for help!!!!
