Raising the TSH

I  believe I may be a bit hypothyroidic, my blood test shows, IU/ML  TSH   1.645 (Sort of at the low end), (Tested) (May 2007) ,TSH Normal  Range 0.345 to 5.500,  I sometimes have sensitively to cold and slow time sense, I was allways normal weight (6 feet, 160 LBS) and could eat all I wanted,  then about 5 years ago was given a traqualitic compound (forgot why), and really quite haven't been the same since (weight gain), gained about 15 pounds per year, (Now at 240 LBS). I would like to order some online Levothroid (to loose weight), but see amounts ranging from 50 Mcg to 2 GM, any suggestion on what dosage I might order.
Thank you very much in advance.
Scott

Taking Thyroid meds when you don't need them is very dangerous to your health.

Ordering them online is equally as dangerous.

Thyroid meds are not intended to be used for weight loss.

So you are going to order a thyroid treatment to lose weight?  Have you called your physician and talked with him about your weight gain? Has your level of excercise decreased and has your diet changed? Are you possibly stressed out about something?

I think before you start messing around with thyroid supplements - you should take a look at what may be going on first.

If your concerned about your weight address that - If your concerned you have a thyroid disorder - call your MD and get more tests.
