Should I be worried

2.3 CM mass on left side of thyroid

Hi im currently going through the same scenario as you - also 2.5cm semi solid mass, had ultrasound, Thyroid scan to determine "hot" or "cold" nodule  - it was "cold" had thyroid biopsy fine needle aspiration with ultrasound guidence wednesday - so i presume they will do the same with you mine also on lower left side.

All the best - my test results are fustrating.  They could not find malignant cells in the specimen but say that they don't know the cause of the cystic lesion and recomend further intervention and a biopsy again - GP feels they must do a open biopsy - take the whole nodule out but that is up to the surgeon - all the best
