LOL!!
Yes...but the result will be hard to fine tune.
If I felt irresponsible, I might suggest taking your Synthroid with breakfast and then taking your calcium much later. You don't want to completely cancel out the Synthroid absorbtion.
But, being the responsible person I am, I'll just say nothing.
:-)
I am amazed that your doctor won't prescribe a lower dose!
If you feel unwell and the tests back it up, what's the problem?
It is strange when so many doctors are even afraid to get the TSH where is is supposed to be!
If I was irresponsible, I would say to skip a couple of days and then resume taking all but 1 pill per week. That would be a more reliable way to reduce the dosage.
But like AR, I am a responsible person and I won't tell you to do that!
I like her idea better.
;-)
Kitty's idea!
(Thought I'd better clarify that last remark.)
What idea? Just an irresponsible suggestion that I didn't make!
What IS irresponsible is a doctor who keeps your TSH too low and you feel unwell.
You guys are funny! This morning I tried an experiment. I took my synthroid with 2 pieces of double fiber whole wheat toast and 3 pieces of bacon. I racked up 14 grams of fiber in that one meal. And you know what? I feel fine today. Much better than the past few days so far. Usually by mid morning I start having heart palps and getting really shaky. So far I feel really good. I think I'm on to something......
PS To Kitty....he won't lower my dose yet because he wants my TSH so low for cancer suppression for one year. He obviously doesn't care that my heart beats so hard it shakes my entire body or that I can't sit still for 10 seconds or that I basically feel HORRIBLE!
I understand about the supression for cancer, but you can't live like this for a whole year!
Glad your experiment is working so far!
