Here goes: Been on .25 mg of Levothyroxin and vitamin D3 for the past 5 weeks for Hashi's and vitamin D3 deficiency. I'm glad I started to see an endo because I have been trying to get a diagnosis for 2 years now. I kind of knew I had Hashi's with the help of this forum and research. I go for labs every 6 to 8 weeks but this time he did different labs which I don't really understand ie: Triiodothyronine, Free, Serum.
Thyroxine (T4) Free, Direct, S, T4, Free (Direct) 1.33 Range - 0.82 - 1.77
TSH 1.99 Range 0.450 - 4.500
Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy 32.4 Range 30.00 - 100.0
Triiodothyronine, Free, Serum 2.7 Range 2.0 - 4.4
Your input would be very helpful. Thank You!!!! :)
Not all hypothyroidism is caused by Hashi's. Some people are hypo for other reasons and some for indeterminate reasons. Typically, Hashi's comes first. You develop the antibodies, which then destroy thyroid function making you hypo.
