In treating a hypothyroid patient the mot important consideration is getting the
high enough to relieve signs/symptoms of hypothyroidism, without creating any signs/symptoms of hyperthyroidism. Typically this will require FT4 at least mid-range, FT3 in the upper third of its range, and Reverse T3 at mid-range or lower. In addition, hypothyroidism is not just dependent on the levels of thyroid hormone but also the response to thyroid hormone at the cellular level. For that reason it is also important for cortisol to be normal, and Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin to be optimal. D should be at least 50 ng/mL, B12 in the upper end of its range, and ferritin should be at least 100. So you need to get those tested and then supplement as needed to optimize.
Before discussing how to get your med optimal, please clarify how much T4 and T3 is in the 65f mg of NDT.
Also please post your latest set of test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report and tell us what your med dosage was at that time.
When you say you cannot get your levels balanced, what levels are you talking about? What is your dosage of NDT med? What, if any symptoms do you have?
