What does it mean when a nodule is resolved?

I recently had a thyroid ultrasound to check on a nodule on my left gland, and my doctor wrote me that the nodule is resolved. What does that mean? My thyroid is far from being regulated so I can't imagine the nodule is suddenly gone.

I think it was solid. I had a biopsy on it a couple years ago that showed it was benign. I do have Hashimoto's. The ultrasound showed my thyroid was scarred and slightly enlarged so it's confusing to me with all that damage and my levels not regulated that a 1cm nodule could suddenly disappear in less than 6 months. I've asked for a copy of the ultrasound so I'll know more details.

It can be. Cystic or solid? If hperactive and cystic it can burst.

If that is the case and you still are not optimal you need to push for Hashimoto testing ASAP and see if you are autoimmune.
