adrenal supplements and armour

by peggy64, Jun 12, 2008 08:52PM
I have been taking an OTC adrenal support, for about 2 weeks now, and it seems to me that my dose of armour is starting to make me feel a bit over the edge. Has anyone had this experience or know anything about this?
I am taking a product by enzymatic in the morning, and one that is for night time to help sleep.

thanks......Peggy

It is very common while supporting the adrenals that your dosage of Armour may need to be lowered. If - for sure - your adrenals are recovering from fatigue - that would mean your thyroid may be producing better levels of thyroid hormones. The Armour prescribed was given to you at a time -IF your adrenals were fatigued so it a good thing...... and you need some testing to make sure you may not be moving towards hyper

When do you go for TSH testing again?

My dose was just lowered a week ago due to drug induced hyperactiveT.

I have just held back, my thyroid meds. I am wondering if I need to keep on with the adrenal support, leave off the thyroid, or the other way around.

I thought I might lay off the adrenal support for a day or 2, take the thyroid med for a week, then add the adrenal support back say 1-2 times a week.
What do you think?

I know these are dr type questions, but I have not found a dr knowledgeable enough on thyroid/adrenal issues to adress this to.
