Read the label of you medication.  My husband was on cholesterol medications for some time and his medication label, said to "avoid all grapefruit products".

Always read medication labels.

I may be wrong about the few hours thing though!!!
and you may want to check out the Grapefruit board or talk to your doctor.....It may be impossible to take grapefruit at all...please check this out for your self before taking any statins.

I take my Thyroid meds around 5 to 6 AM.
I put the pill in a small shot glass so if I forget, it will still be there.  (that way I am not asking myself, did I? or didn't I?)
And then I drink water from my canister and go back to sleep...that way I feel like when I do get up and later eat, i am safe about taking food.

So I think you may be okay with your Grape fruit if you wait a few hours..

This is a thyroid forum.  Did you mean to post this on another board, or are you also taking thyroid meds?
