i tried natural tears for my eyes it helps alot..and im seeing her july 13 instead..cause she wants to do the Rai..on my nodules..not the thyroid..so i can become balanced..because she says thats whats causing the eye irritation..but im gonna do the RAI for my nodules..because it seems like the atd is worse..i know ill have a long road ahead..but if i dont face it..ill never experience whats inevitable..thanks ...
i called my endo..she said its unlikely that it is the antithyroid meds..and she said my antibodies are negative..she said i should stop taking it for like two days..and if its the meds stop taking it..but then ill have the anxiety..panic attacks..but the dry eye hurts..lol..but now i understand what you are saying..but what is good for for dry eyes..in your opinion..i dont see my eye doctor till july 28 ..so what is the best eye treatment just for comfort..she says i have 1 1/2 nodules..so she said thats why its overacting..but the way you experienced it to me..i understand it better..if you have any suggestions..i would really appreciate it..ps..what is a ted exam i have hyperthyroid..im new to this..thanks so much for your time..
Common for antithyroid medication to cause an eye irritation or "dry eye" - Its worth calling in and rechecking the auoimmune markers since on the medication. Methamozile is designed to only lower thyroid function and not a direct association to autoimmune. When its prescribed and does what's intended by lowering thyroid function the autoimmune can rear up attacking now ( backwards in Hashimoto) and then the lab can find the autoimmune is present.
It would be wise to also seek a TED eye exam just on the safe side and finding a TED specialist can be challenging.
