it went away for me(muscle twitching). not sure what did it, i was low in vitamin D like a 20 now take it dailey. last test a few months ago it was 40 so it must be much higher now, also im on like twice the amount of thyroid meds now. so it went away. so hang in there. In relation to thyroid disease, low vitamin D is common among thyroid patients and this can cause the muscle twitches/cramps. So can low frees. I know my muscles ache when my thyroid takes a hypo dump. Make sure your docs are treating the frees for hypo/hashi disease, and not the TSH, or you could be suffering needlessly.

As far as parathyroid disease, it is also common for parathyroid patients to have low D. Unfortunately, the more D you take, the higher your calcium absorption, so you're in a pickle until you can get that parathyroid removed.

wow..all this time I thought I was the only one that complained of my muscle twitching all day every day for the past 4 yrs...it's sooooooooooooo aggravating. My doctor does not have an answer for me as to why my muscles twich, and in some ways I probably don't want to know what's really wrong, but I know I need to know.

I have muscle twitching, mostly on the left side of my abdominal area, where my ribs are. I get them all over all the time though!!! Is this a sign of something wrong? I'm scared of what it might mean!!!!

I have muscle twitching all over everyday- somedays are worse than others- currently I am in the process of being diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism-- its been a long journey-- the muscle twitches scare me though it makes me think at that time that my calcium must be high my doctor appt. with a thyroid specialist is not till Dec. 11th- Im exausted.

When my husband first falls asleep, I feel his muscles twitching.  Like he is playing tennis in his dream.  I haven't convinced him to have it checked out, but please let me know if you find anything out
