partial hearing loss and hypothyroidism

Hi, I am having some partial hearing loss in my left ear for the past 4 weeks.  I am taking hypothyroid meds.  I have consulted ENT doc and they prescribed prednisolone, methylcobalamin inj. for this.  From last week, I have seen some improvement but not at all cure.  I felt some inbalance while walking and still there is some ringing sounds.  I want to know whether my hearing problem will be a permanent or not. I want to hear any advice regarding my problem.

I believe my thyroxine is not helping me because the T4 is not making T3 . Look up thyroid and T3, stunning info

I think methylcobalamin will help to my ear nerves and prednisolone steroid may be because of inflammation in my ear.  I have little idea about it.
I need further advice on this regarding usefullness and the adverse effects.
Need comments and your experiences.

hearing loss and hypothyroidism:

I think doc is thinking about sensorineural deafness, and I heard that sensorineural hearing loss is considered to be associated with a prolonged low calcium level in the inner ear fluid and is a possible complication of hypothyroidism.  I also found that high-dose methylprednisolone administration greatly improved hearing and some steroids have been clinically shown to balance the inner ear.  By the way thank to all of those who sent comments for me.

The only advice I can give is not to take prednisone. It gave me adrenal fatigue which has taken a year to cure (actually I am not totally cured yet). And - the adrenals interact with the thyroid. You have no idea how awful adrenal fatigue is. At times I could not walk across the room. And I had terrible panic attacks. This reaction to prednisone (or inhaled steroids) is not unusual. Merely devastating.

This sounds like an ENT problem and not from thyroid.  If you were put on prednisolone, then you have inflammation?  I don't understand why they would be giving you B12 shots for hearing loss though.
