throid levals

Hi,

my t3, t4 and TSH levels are given below, i am trying for a baby for the last two months, but my periods are getting delayed each month by 15 days, after taking the registron tablet 6, i got my periods, what is wrong with these values, is this can be treated.

T3 - 94.71
T4 - 6.6
TSH - 5.12

with thyroid disease - that has to be taken care of and balanced prior to any thoughts of having a baby.

Hi,

I don't know the reference range for the T3 and T4.  But target for FT3 and FT4 if you are trying to get pregnant is the top end of the reference range.  TSH target is usually around 1, but the numbers for FT3 and FT4 always take priority (particularly if the TSH appears to be ;low).

YOu are hypothyroid and you need to be treated and get your numbers looking better asap.

When you do get pregnant likely you will have to increase your meds by 30 - 50%.  Your thyroid should be tested monthly during pregnancy to keep the FT3 and FT4 at the top end of the reference range, with med adjustments as necessary.

Are those Free T3 and Free T4 or are they "total"?  If they are total, they don't tell much. Also need to know reference ranges.

Thyroid issues can cause problems with your menstrual cycle.
