what is third generation thyroid mean

i have graves disease with tumors . my third generation thyroid is 17.200 what does this mean?

honey this is way to confusing... Graves is not tumors growing in the legs!...

Graves disease is a thyroid condition - a HyPERthyroid condition... The thyroid controls alot of cell, metobolism and many other things - but a doctor will not look at a tumor on the leg and say you have Graves disease.

You also say you have been hypOthyroid for 15 years... this is not making sense.

I am a 53 yr old woman ive had hypothyroidism for about 15 yrs . I am over wt have a very big problem loosing wt .About 6yrs ago i got a tumor on my leg everyone said fatty tumor leave alone well some more started. My gynocologist suggested i get abiopsy come back graves disease. the tumors are everywhere now all below knee. 2 yrs ago i had 4 bypass . Now my legs are all red and swollen.

3rd generation is a 3rd generation TSH lab test.

Sorry - to say.. it junk - and not a good test at all.

If you have Graves why are they just running that? - Maybe more clarification is needed here on your thyroid issue to best say.
