Upper leg pain

by dotricky, Feb 27, 2008 08:39AM
I'm a 52 yr. old female.  I am having a very deep, aching pain in my right leg on the "back-outside" part of my upper leg...I can put my hand on the sore spot, but when I sleep on my right side I get a deep throbbing ache down my leg.  I've noticed that when I attempt to climb stairs, if I go right leg first, it hurts and my leg wants to come out from under me.. I have no strength in that leg for even one step... I don't think it is my hip (don't honestly know how far down my hip joint is!!!)  But it is below the right buttock on the outside of my leg... Does anyone else have this weird problem?  I have had a stint put in my right iliac vein a year or two ago...Thanks
