I have been having upper right abdominal pain for 3 months. It has progressed in severity. I recently had a CT done. It was only bariumBarium enema Barium ingestion Barium sulfate Upper gi and small bowel series since I have a severe shellfish allergy. The findings showed I have some fluid around my heart. My primaryPrimary amyloidosis Primary biliary cirrhosis Primary hyperparathyroidism Primary insomnia Primary lymphoma of the brain scheduled me for a test to be sure my heart is working OK in a few days. I am very uncomfortable. I am not sure what to do. They are not sure what is wrong with me and I am lost as to where to turn next. From what I understand this fluid is from something. I have no gallbladder, appendixAppendectomy and had a hysterectomyHysterectomy Hysterectomy - series (cervix remains). I feel weak and am in pain. The pain is in the middle of my ribsRib cage pain and towards my right side. It gets worse when I do more. I can not lay on my right side and have not been able to for months. blood work is ok and I also had an upper and lower gi. Upper showed small ulcer in stomach and eshpogus but tested ok.

If indeed there is fluid around your heart please consult a cardiologist ASAP. If that is not an option with you would going to an ER help? You must seek medical care immediately. The fluid can accumulate around the heart due to several reasons like infection, hypothyroidism, autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, certain prescription drugs and cancers. You may need further blood tests, heart ECHO etc.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
