Atomoxetine

Hey, I've just been diagnosed with ADHD and I'll be taking Atomoxetine. It's the non - stimulant type, I was thinking the stimulant form of medication would suit me better with such as an Amphetamine based one. I was a user on speed awhile ago and when I was on I felt established, in control, I could concentrate and express my inteligence. Could anybody give me advise on how Atomexitine works, thankyou :) xx

Do you act and think quicker ?  It's just I'm hoping these change my life for the better. I have an inteligent mind but I find it hard to express in front of people because of the a anxiety and paranioa feeling so I stutter sometimes and it all comes out wrong.

I was on Strattera for over three years and loved how it helped my concentration (and mood)..   I had to go off it because they suspected it was causing my severe constipation and since went on a stimulant.  It took three tries with different stimulants to get the right one (the stimulants actually put me to sleep).  I found I had lots of energy on Straterra and my world felt "clear".  I do like Vyvanse (the drug I'm on now but it's a pain in the butt to have to go get every month as it's so restricted.

Try the Straterra, if it doesnt work for you then try another.  I think Dr's recognize that everybody is different.

Straterra does take longer to take effect.  I think it was like 10 days before I realized it was working but if I missed a day I sure felt confused.
