15-20mg oxycodone per day.

Well, I've been reading and hearing that the best thing to do to prevent bad side effects (which from WHAT I HAVE SEEN, can't include death and usually not brain damage or any serious defect... right?) is to taper off. Personally, I don't have the money to keep buying at 20 bucks a day, knowing NOW that I'm a huge 5 months pregnant. The best way for me to quit oxies, usually, if I have to quit for a couple days due to money, is just stopping cold turkey and aside from the mental craving, I have really experieced no signs of withdrawal whatsoever. I want to know: If I, myself, have no withdrawals, and I feel fine, and only have been doing a MAXIMUM of 40mg (raaaare) a day, usually 15 or less, would my baby be alright as far as withdrawals go, if I were to go cold turkey?

just remember they always look down (rightfully so) on the ppl that sell these pills, and usually try to help the ppl that get caught up consuming, if you are not near major metropolitan area, it would probably be better to go to one as small towns might have more bias.

GEEZ yourself !!    You're doing a bad thing here.  It's unwise to quit cold turkey for whatever reason. Your BABY will go into withdrawal !!  You could have a miscarriage or stillborn in this case.  You need to see a doctor pretty fast.

No one here can tell you that your baby is going to be fine...

CT withdrawal can lead to stillbirth.   A taper schedule should always be used, under medical supervision.

I think that what we are telling you is that your baby COULD BE in danger of the things you mentioned if you do not taper properly.  Does that make sense?  I understand you not having the money to continue, but your baby could be in danger.

I wish everyone understood my situation a little better... I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO CONTINUE. I was at 15mg a day. I took 10 the day I decided to quit. 5 the next day. none today. I just want to know my baby isn't going to come out with birth defects or die before delivery because I have no means of talking to an OB til I make an appt. tomorrow... I just found out about this 5 days ago, jeez.

OMG....you have to tell your doctor and be weaned properly.  Please listen to everyone here.  We have no motive for trying to scare a pregnant woman, but you have GOT to get some professional care with this.  Just tell the doc how much you take, and they will wean you.  I am aghast that even a drug dealer would sell pills to a pregnant woman?????  OMG.....Please tell your doctor!  We can help support you after you do that and get some advice from an OBGYN!

I worked Labor and Delivery 10yrs, plus 5 years as an OB's nurse. Would not advise CT. The baby will feel the WD.s. I've seen so many "addicted" babies born and it is awful for them-usually the cocaine babies, but they have a cry like no other and cannot be consoled. Please tell you OB. You can taper which will be much less painful for YOU and baby. Good luck honey-my daughter delivered when she was addicted to lortab's. It was tough.

YES!  That baby will feel withdrawals. Don't change your dose or stop cold turkey. You
need to speak to the doctor right away and be honest!!  Stopping completely is dangerous for the baby!

Only your doctor can advise you from here. None of this is just about you anymore.Okay?

Please call~

Stop...you are pregnant? It is very dangerous for the unborn fetus to stop ct. You need to speak with your OBGYN and get honest about your abuse. Allow them to advise you.

I wish you and your baby the best.

I can't answer this for you save to say that you might want to let your doctor know of the situation so that he/she can monitor the baby during your withdrawals....I'm so glad you realized you need to get clean not only for yourself but for your baby.
