Good morning Nick,

I'm glad you got a little sleep.  It makes a world of difference.  As soon as the sleep starts to come back, the other stuff gets better quickly.

Be careful taking the l-tyrosine in the afternoon or evening because it can really make you jittery and make sleep even tougher.  I could only take it in the morning but it did get me going.

I hope you have immodium for the runs.  Take lots of it if need be, it really helps.

It sounds like you are turning the corner on this and that is really cool to hear.  Very happy for you.

Hang in there it will keep getting better and great job so far!!!

Well now 737 am,

Slept for about 4 hours but feel great. Ive realised 1 thing and that there is no way,no magic pill Rx or otc that will help with sleep. Wut I did was I took the hottest batth my body could take with some lavender and sea salts. Got cozy and slept till 4 am, took another hot bat turned on my pc and dozed off until the runs got to me lol ..Oh well Ill take diarrea anytime over the first days of detox. Funny how i only had a bm on day 4.

I am off the valium well....Im tapering to 1mg today but started take L-Tyrosine and I think its helping already. I will stick with the chlonide for another couple days. It help with the cold sweats , rls and amxiety....Not ready to dance r anything but it gets better after day 4-5

Plz respond asap tx

Well the pills I take to sleep are non addictive and Im taking the same steps as the rehab centre I ve been too about 4 years ago. The valium I am tapering quite well but still takes the ege off. By Monday I will no longer be taking the valium. I bought some lavender bath oil and some herbal supplements. I am aware that the pill taking clock is to also be distorted but hey Im focussing on getting better. Had my first bowel mouvement ( Not so happy) and am drinking BOOST supplement drinks and gatorade. When I start getting axious, I drink alot and take the natural suplement... At this point its like nicotine withdrawls x 10 But like I said I kicked that habit cold turkey almost 2 years ago.

Great plan Nick!!!

I'd think if you are 4 days into this that it would be a better route to avoid the sub but I hate to dump on it without any personal experience.

You'll get this.  You have a great attitude and are making all the right steps.  One at a time Nick.  It gets better soon.

Hang in there!!!

Part of this process is stopping the pill popping type of thinking.  Im not trying to be crass but you seem to be talking up and glorifying "POPPING FAMOUS SLEEPING PILLS" Im not telling you how to do things.  I can say from experience, that thinking process is what continues addictions and hinders recovery. Not to be harsh, but change your thought process, the one you have is very dangerous. Its your choice.. Its experience talking, some things shouldn't be ignored. Do what you need to be healthy.

Sub has worked for some and I can understand that but it is a very strong opioid that will leave you in the same situation as far as addiction and dependency but the withdrawals can last longer due to its long half-life.  I would encourage you to continue through this rather than go backwards.
Day 4 is an achievement and you are almost through the initial phase of detoxing - just try to keep your head up, continue posting and possibly seek some aftercare so that you will have the skills you need to stay clean.
Best of luck to you and you are doing great.  Use this forum as an outlet for your feelings, all of which are normal.
