About to start my detox...

Hi everyone

I,m just getting everything in place....I officially start my home detox tomorrow....i,ve reduced right down and i,m already showing signs but its ok....

My regime is going to be pramipexole, clonidine, diazepam and loperimide...

At the moment i,m feeling empowered but i know that will so fade as my journey into wd progresses. I dont have a question as such. However i,d be extremely grateful if you guys could keep an eye out for me coz i,m going to need a few kind words when i,m sick. Also i,d really like to hear of anyone else who has used any of those meds and how it worked for them...

Thanks in advance and wish me luck Lx

With regard to the clonidine and the valium - I never took them, but I know that for people here who were on higher doses of opiates, these meds eased the withdrawals considerably, and the valium helped with sleep issus - which is hard to come by in the first days of detox.

I'm sure you've been told this before, but taking a multi vitamin and supplementing your diet with protein drinks will help you to feel better as well.  There are protein powders you can buy that have alot of the essential amino acids in them to help your mind and body recover more quickly.

Hi Missy,

I'm glad you're feeling empowered.   Just know that each day you will be getting better and even during the times that you're feeling miserable, that it WILL pass.  It always does.

Great job on getting everything in place ahead of time.  The immodium (loperamide) will be a great help as you detox;  make sure you keep the fluid intake high as it is easy to become dehydrated.

We're always here for support, and to lend a sympathetic ear if you just feel like you need to talk or vent.  Post often so we know how you're doing.

You're off to a great start!

Well wishes,

Sandy ♦
