No problem sweetie. I have been where you are at and happy to help someone else through the process. Please keep checking in because once you start feeling physically better the mental cravings and sometimes some depression can start kicking in and that can be very tough. I have kids your age and I pray they don't spend the next 20 years of their life fighting this battle like I have. I have traded one addiction for another over the years. Alcohol and Scrips of various kinds. This disease is a baffling and cunning one, so don't let your guard down. I'm proud of you. Keep on trucking along....
Thanks so much for talking to me I been on here for the past 3 days an it mad these 3 days go by fast and it helped a lot it keept my mind from even thinking about the pills. I'm only 22 yrs old n after reading all these post n goingg threw this I will NEVER TOUCH another percocet..I will keep updating so be watching for my updates and contniue to help me threw this process plz. I feel at least 50 percent better
To tell you the truth the hardest part is staying mentally focused. Doing normal day to day things the first week feels awkward. If you don't overthink things and just do them, time goes by faster. Make sure you bring some light snacks (crackers, yogurt, bananas), take your Immodium & vitamins, and drink plenty of fluids. I'm glad you are feeling better today. You are doing fabulous!
Ya it does a lot and I feel improvment today and I sit all day and answer.phones so it shuldnt be to bad on Sunday..how was it working through the withdrawls
I have worked through the withdraws before, but I sit most of the day. I think you will be fine by Sunday. After tomorrow you should start noticing a big improvement overall. You might still feel kinda lethargic, but working should be doable by day 5. My, you have your hands full with a sick baby. I would imagine that would keep your mind off of yourself and how you feel.
Thanks for tlking with me..I guess I rly had no choice for the w/d..mayb if I wasn't up n kinda active it mite b worse I have a 6 month old who has the flu. My sister had him yesterday for me and I had him today which I had np choice to tend to him..tht mite b why I'm not going thru them real bad..I have to work Sunday and Monday do u think I will b well by then???
I am on day 25 this time. I've gone through the withdraws many, many times in the past 6 months. It's still pretty fresh in my mind since I was pretty much where I am at now when I relapsed for a couple weeks. Then I had to go through it all over again. The mental slog you go through afterwards can be tough, but you have to force yourself to keep busy. Find things to occupy your mind. One of mine is to post on here frequently.
The anxiety wasn't too bad for me. It's kind of like a nervous and panicky energy. In the past I have had it really bad along with the restless legs/arms and sweating! I would be clammy off and on and sweated more than normal. This past one was fairly easy on me since I had almost a month off, but I took enough to put me back into the mess of physical and mental withdraws. You can never go back. It's just not an option. Our minds remember and the first couple times you take something it doesn't take much. However, the tolerance builds super fast so within a couple days you are back to where you were without even realizing what is happening.
Some other things you may experience are, runny nose, sneezing, and a strong sense of smell. Your doing great just hang in there and you will start to improve in the coming days.
Ya I have rls the 1st nite was horiable its not so bad now n yawning n sneeziing not so much and anxiety I'm not to sure about tht..NoLife4Me. R u going through them now or how long have u been clean
All normal symptoms. You are doing great! Sounds like you are about to turn the corner on the worst of the sickness part. Many people here say that the sleep is one of the last things to return to normal and that varies by person. All I wanted to do was sleep my first couple days. Are you yawning and sneezing too? What about restless legs/arms? Any anxiety?
Jus the cold chills upset stomach n diarreha the 1st day seemed the worst I had hot n cold sweats sleep all day so tht nite n all day yesterday I didn't sleep. Got benadryl n st. Thomas wort n vitimin b12 and started tht yesterday today I dny feel to bad except the diarreha
Peak is when you feel the absolute worst and then it starts to get better. Most people's acute symptoms peak at around 2 to 4 days then each day the symptoms get better. Sounds like you are doing pretty good for day 3. What symptoms have you been having?
Usually day 3 or 4 is the worst and then the wd's start to subside. How does your nose feel? You can really mess up the lining in your nose and that takes longer to heal. Have you thought about aftercare at all? Once we get thru the wd's the mental part kicks in and that is the tough one.
I was snorting about 10-12 a day so thts why iam asking if its guna get worse or better
You're doing GREAT!!! You definitely will be turning the corner very soon! Most people who have gone through w/d's before state day 3-4 is the "peak", and it gets easier from there. Everyone obviously is different, and the quality and length of w/d will depend largely on the DOC, how long one was taking it, and how mucvh they were using daily. If "no life" above is right, 3 percocets a day is a pretty light habit...which will work in your favor.
I know you're scared, but you're doing it....you should be SO proud for what you've already accomplished! You CAN and WILL do this! Keep telling yourself that!
What are the worst symptoms for you? Are you using anything in the Thomas recipe to ease the symptoms?
Keep posting...way to go!
Day 2 was always the worst for me. You weren't taking large doses, but were snorting correct? I think you said 3 percs daily? Sorry, I am on my phone right now so its harder to go back and read old posts. Anyhow, if im correct, then you shouldn't get any worse and should start feeling better by tomorrow.
