hun.. you will feel better. if you've been thru this before, you know the emotional rollercoaste is part of the process. just KNOW that.. it helps. these feelings will pass, and it's only the w/d.. IT WILL PASS.
and the clonidine will help. i sued it before... it staves off ALOT of the w/d's.. the only side effect for me is that it made me really sleepy and tired. but that was it.
you are going to be ok!! again - it's the w/d's.. so don't trip out and feel like you'll be depressed forever. this will pass!!
and please keep posting.. ok?
with luv,
mj
Thank you for responding. I am falling apart right now. I came home for lunch because I can't stop crying. I feel like such a loser.
Sorry wrong post- i meant to say clonidine is used in most detoxes around the country for opiates. it helps alot with the symphatic nervous system problems opiate withdrawal presents. it helps with the sweating, hot/cold flashes, blood pressure fluctuations, and insomnia.
it is not insane to use a long lasting benzo to ease the withdrawal from a shart acting one like xanax or halcion. it is necessary most of the times. i was on 4mgs a day of xanax and a lot of oxycontin and heroin, they put me on 3mgs of klonopin for the xanax addicition and suboxone for the opiates, i am now over three months clean
