Staggering how many of us addicts are out there..
Im having one of those moments again lately here..where I feel absolutely staggered by the sheer number of us out there. I cant believe how many pill addicts there are , and there are tons of new members every day here. Most of the stories are essentially the same, its frightening. It just makes me wonder how many people in the whole world there are like us too. Just judging by the astounding number of folks on this forum alone makes my head spin! I just wanted to say that I am glad this new influx of members have found this forum and pray it saves their lives as it has many here. I can guarrantee you i still wouldnt be clean if it werent for this forum. I hope that it helps so many more as well. So welcome aboard to all the newbies and I hope this forum serves as a launching boad for you into your recovery and support system!

The people on this forum are the most polite of any I've seen, that's why I stuck with MH! Even though it took me almost 2 years of being here to completely straighten up ( I was hooked on vicodin for over 15 years ), you guys were patient and gave me great support! THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE! The encouragement I got from you LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE!! =)
It's all about the money...with docs and pharmacies.
I went to the docs today to get some antibiotics and while I was waiting roughly 20 minutes 2 people came in and picked up Vikes. I stood back about 20 or so feet from the counter away waiting patiently and I seen the tech fill about 5 or 6 scrips of Vicoden one right after the other (Wow that bottle she had was huge to fill the other scrips) I seen alot of those white devils being counted on the tray. It took me a few minutes to catch on to what I saw. She had a one scrip it was so big she had to recount it 3 times! I even heard those dreaded words "This is to early for refill" and the man acted like he had no idea....hmmm I remember those days. I could remember pulling around the corner of the building opening the bottle and popping 2 or 3 right away.
Wow! What a reality check standing back and observing with a clear head!
