Benzo quitting - Cold turkey

My doctor took me off Benzo's cold turkey and I'm experiencing blurred vision  and tremors is this normal?

Benozo are hard and take along time to detox from. I would like to know whow much ?How long? Benzodiazepines Is a long term Detox. Please se a physcian. Best Wishes . Let us know? Jeff S

I have to agree with everyone on here. I was taken off 12 mg a day C.T of Xanax and I was put on 1500 mg of anti seizure med's. This is not recommened, big mistake by a Dr. at the first rehab i went to. big time bad experience.   I ended up in the ER, with tremors hallucinating, diarreah, vomiting, blurry vision OH my it was awful, after four days in the hospital I was put on a Klonopin taper by a very experienced addiction  Dr. they were administered to me and slowly cut back till I was completely weaned off of them. Get to the ER like everyone here has said. It is very dangerous to quit Benzo's cold turkey...I wish the best for you...God Bless...Sunshine

well if your up tonight because you cant sleep and if your off the benzo's your probably up
I would get to an E/Rif your getting blurred vision your B/P might be spiking benzo's need to be tapered off of slowly your doctor should know this... how much where you taking and how long??OOO and witch benzo??? a bit more info would be helpful but at the very least get to a doctor tomorrow good luck and God bless....Gnarly

How much and how long have you been on Benzodiazepines? Seizure activity is possible. Tremors most definately.

Hi~  Your doctor should know better.  You're going to feel terrible at the least and have seizures at the worst!   Get back to your doctor and demand a taper plan.   In the meantime,if you have a drink it will calm things down and the alcohol works on the same brain receptors.
I don't want to get yelled at here but I think this is an already a dangerous situation!

Please call the doctor in the am or go to the ER.

it is illegal for a doc to take you of any medication cold turkey  you can have some problems headed your way   my aim name is alexisonfire004    if you need to talk about benzos  i had to go to the hospitol once before when the doc took away my xanax.   if you feel lik your hear is going to fast or are going to have a mental breakdown and tremors thats benzo withdrawl

I was told to never stop Benzo's cold turkey,I would go and get checked,others hopefully will have more information about the risks.
