My first time being addicted to it and I'm so through. Please support me community because I will nedd you noe more than ever.
Do you know if there is A LOT of abdominal cramping w/ coming off tramadol - I just became a member today....need to look around and see whats aval - thank you laurel. It could be from the other meds I'm getting off of too.
It is not that it's hard, it is not safe quitting cold turkey tramadol.... there is a risk of seizures from what i have read here ... i am sure that some people with experience on it will come to help you and tell you about it.
I just went cold turkey from tramadol, vicodin, and soma. Is tramadol hard to get off cold turkey?
I wanted to ask you a question - I just read your journal - are you taking and cold turkeying from Tramadol today as well???
Hello,
It's do-able to continue on with normal life, but it can be very hard while detoxing. If you can get some help with the kids, or take a Monday or Friday off like Tramahater said, then by all means take advantage of it!
There are some supplements in the Health Pages - you might find the Thomas Recipe and amino acids to be helpful. If you can get clonidine from your doctor, that would be helpful as well. It's a blood pressure med that helps with narcotic withdrawal symptoms. Bananas, potassium, magnesium, hylands restful legs, those are some things to help with the RLS you may experience. Hot baths with Epsom salts to help with body aches. Melatonin to help with sleep. Immodium AD if you want to slow down or stop the diahrrea. That's about all I can think of right now. Stick around and keep posting~! You CAN do this!
Hi! If your kids are really young, I would get some help with them. I had an 18 month old when I did it, and I had to have help with her. It doesn't last too long as far as taking off work. If you had a Friday and Monday off, you could do it.
Good luck!
Is there any advice on what I can do to maybe control some of those symptoms? Any good remedies or advice?
You didnt say how long you have been addicted...you will have bad flu like symptoms for 3 to 10 days...just all depends...it isnt the easiest thing you will ever do but it will be the best thing you ever do for YOURSELF and your family...post here often you will get lots of love and support here...God Bless...brian
