Good information above for you. Melatonin and valerian root helped me also, along with Alteril (a new one). It's been a long time since I did meth, but I remember it wasn't easy to come off of. I played in a band nights and worked days. I was right around your age. But my "sleeper" was in good shape back then, so I toughed it out for a couple weeks and my sleeping patterns eventually came back. I knew using it again would mean going deeper and deeper into the dark with no return, unless I tried stopping again, but I'd be further along in my addiction and would have hell to pay.

Congratulations for making this decision. When you stick with this decision it won't get any worse, only better and better. Go with what happens each day, knowing you're getting better, taking each day as it comes.

I have some good friends that have detoxed from methadone and i know it is tough but keep feeding your mind with positive thoughts... and keep fighting, i know you will pull through all this once again, we never give up fighting this so don't think in the past now just the present ;)

It takes some time to get some good sleep but be patient, pls.... meanwhile.. i would advise you to take a long hot bath with epsom salts before going to bed... melatonin and valerian root helped me with broken sleep but keep on mind that at best you will get 3/4 hours of sleep and then maybe another couple with some luck. Take the melatonin in the dark, both melatonin and valerian are not addictive and valerian helps with anxiety too. Take hylands restful legs for the restlessness legs, eat lost of bananas, they rich on potassium and help with legs kicks, drink tonic water, the quinine on it helps also.... and GOOD LUCK :)
