DAY TEN...
DOUBLE DIGITS my friends.... IM DOING IT...can ya believe it?? SLEEP is something I really MISS but I'm doing good physically. Emotionally..... Well u know how it is. I can't take a pill to numb things anymore and its really hard to deal with"reality " sometimes. The mental is much harder than the physical. SO glad I have all of you here. I honestly believe I can't do it alone and YOU all are my angels....

'Rosygirl' (haha) I'm so proud of you! Seems like it was just yesterday that I (or should I say 'we') were rooting for you to flush those pills...and now look at you! A shining star! You really grabbed the bull by the horns (another body part came to mind...but I'll keep it G rated!) you are now starting to reap the benefits of a clean, happy and healthy life. You'll start to realize (or maybe you already have) that even your worst days sober will be better than any day using...and that is just awesome!

Great job on those double digits friend !! The mental will get better with a little more time just as the physical has gotten better with the time you have already put in. Believe me you will feel much more stable and happy at around 20-30 days or so. The brain takes that long to reboot (for lack of a more complex explanation) . Hang in there and keep on doing what you are doing....and not doing what you are not doing. lawl
Girl you are doing the dang thing!! Congrats on the 10 days! I am so proud of you and knew you could do it. Keep on rocking your recovery and stacking up those clean days. You'll be celebrating your one month in no time! Hang in there with the sleep thing. Sleep will come back, it just likes to take it's sweet time. Try to be patient and embrace not only the extra time you have when not sleeping much, but all the silliness that comes with being slaphappy! SO, glad that you're here. You have been a great addition to this awesome site! BIG hugs coming atcha!! ;)

I always see QUESTIONS FOR YOU and if I know anything about the subject or if someone needs encouragement IM THERE... Lol... I see you everywhere too... Busy bee... LOVE it! oh yes and you couldn't have chose a better name. IM ROCKING IT, HUH? LOL. when I'm feeling better I can't wait to really be able to cruise around the site and encourage and support people. Congrats so awesome! I'm with you I always have thought my physical addiction was my problem and that I can stop using after detoxing and it would not be a problem but holy crap I'm a mess mentally with this. I'm so proud of you and everyone here!!

You are absolutely right - the psychological w/d's are so nasty but you have to just cling on to the one simple truth - things WILL get better - your mood WILL even out - you WILL be able to feel true happines again. I have small windows of absolute clarity hen I am back to normal... these little nuggets of joy are what one lives for and at the same time when the low hits you want to do anything to return to the joy of normal - that reaction is the Tramadol telling you that the only way to have control is to take the pill... but they are lying - those sneaky little bastards...
