Hey new friends! I just want to say thank you for all your support. Means the world to me. Just got back from the movies. Had a nice time. My stupid right leg was hurting but, no complaints. I do feel " alive" is that weird? Like, I'm not in a fog or something? I'm scared for tomorrow... I'm suppose to bring my baby over to my parents house for the day tomorrow, I'll be on day 2 with no pills... My mom wants to get out and run errands with my son... Umm.... I don't know if I can do it? Like, I really don't want to go to toys r us while I'm withdrawaling, you know? Lol

Why not drop off the one and stay home with your son and watch a movie of his choice together. Stay away from popcorn though I know that smell makes me gag when I have withdrawls,lol. Your mom will be happy just the same that way I bet, save the errands for another day, I know I would.

Hi! How far along are you into your detox??
I was thinking of telling my mom that I'm sick. However, my son and I are still going over to her house tomorrow... My husband is going to be gone all day and I might need some help with the baby. Lol, i didn't notice any typos. I'm hating life right now soooo....

You can also tell your mom that you are coming down with something and feel under the weather! Expect to have the flu for around 4-5 days. Support groups are important. I go to AA... I'm not an alcoholic, but it covers a lot of the basics! When I feel like using, I confide in my husband. I woke up with a crick in my neck yesterday, abc wanted a pill.. A hearing pad and alieve did the trick. Once you get through withdrawals you will have mental cravings.. You can beat them. Crying will be normal.. I cry at a lot of stuff.. I also laugh a lot too! I watched football yesterday and had a blast..

I joined NA on day 4 or 5, can't remember which now lol.  Basically after the worst of the WD's had passed.  Found a sponsor on my first meeting and I call him everyday to check in and he helps keep me focused.  As for the supply, you need to let every doctor you see know about your addiction,  primary physician, dentist, surgeon, etc.  Also any future doctors or if you happen to be seen in an ER or Urgent Care clinic.  Good luck and just know each day gets a little better.

Lol, aww I love golden girls!!! Haha! It's weird, because those stupid pills do change you. I wish I would have know that before taking them... I'm taking one hour at a time. I'm okay right now... God is good!

That's cool that your daughter saw the same movie. I didn't care what I did tonight. As long as I got out. For my game plan- I want to join NA.,I've researched a few around my city. I think I'll join one once I'm done getting over my physical withdrawals. Cutting off my supply- all I need to do is call my doc and tell him no more prescription, right?

It's not weird to feel "alive" it's wonderful! It means feelings that were numbed are coming back. And it's great! I cried during the theme song to the Golden Girls while in detox. Laughed at commercials other's didn't find funny. But I did, and it was crazy, but I had been numb so long, and until I quit, and laughing and crying came back, did I even realize the pills were making me a mental zombie. I bet people thought I was boring on pills. I didn't laugh at jokes as often, didn't fully participate in conversation. But like I said, I didn't even notice while using what I had become. A shell of my former self.

Embrace those emotions. That's healing! Congrats. But toys r us in detox? Wow you're strong lol!

That's funny, my daughter saw that today and was texting me all about it.  Significant others can make a huge difference in your sobriety.  I'm glad you have one one there for you to help and travel this road with you.  Do you have a game plan?  NA, counseling, cutting off your supply?

Yea, toy r us can "suck it" however, I 'll most likely be pushed into going.. Fml! Lol, I'm a "very up beat" person. However, I've cried like a billion times to my husband today, yesterday and the day before... I think the reason why I'm " ok" right now is because of my hubby. He's silly and makes me laugh... My husband and I saw insidious 2. Really good and scary!

Yes toys r us and WD do not sound like a good mix lol!  It can be normal to feel very up in the beginning of detox as your mind is excited about your decision to quit.  I hope you continue to feel that more each day your clean.  What movie did you see?
