Methadone

I would like to know what your opinions are on Methadone for treating pain killer pills?
Did it work for you? How did it make you feel?
I've heard that the withdrawals from Methadone are worse than any other opiate.
Has anyone experienced this?

im still on the methadone for my pain only..10mgs ..a year ago was on 120mgs weened down to 10 fine at that...but its a bad withdrawal plan on being sick for 5-14 days..i dont care if you detox from 10 mgs or 200 mgs ur going to pay for it....my brother use to be on heroin now on sub..he said that heroin is nothing compared to methadone..i never done the others ..the only ones that i did were oxy,s  80 mgs for 2 monthes..and there sister perks..1 yr..the ox,s  can be bad to  not like methadone though..i never did opiates for the buzz..but i did get euphoria and didnt know what it was..it was ok though..but when i got it its when my pain was gone!!  so it heloped me..but after all we go threw with these drugs..theres got to be a stopping point..if you dont you keep going deeper into torrent's  thats when it gets bad..so just get sober and god bless you all..ur friend james

I have not used methadone to get off of pills but simply to get high.  it was my drug of choice because, unlike oxys and hydros, the buzz would last an entire day.  i have detoxed from just about every opiate there is.  the only difference with methadone WD is that they last much much longer than any other opiate, with maybe Suboxone being the exception.  but i guess it would all depend on how long one has been taking them.  i guess it may be possible to be on a very small dose for a very short amount of time and to avoid a lengthy withdrawal.
