Thanks for the advice. If they continue I will try that. Usually I'd get the feeling like all the nerves in my legs from my knees down were on fire in the afternoon/evening, and then the RLS at bedtime. So far today my legs feel amazing. No knee or ankle joint pain and no burning feeling. The Gabapentin and Baclofen that I was prescribed to take 3x's a day I've only ever taken at night and I don't think I even need to take it anymore. The worst thing for me right now is the fatigue, but once I get moving I seem to be doing fine. I can feel an improvement in that so I'm happy!
Welcome to the thunder dome of WD's! The best news that I can give you is that at least the onset of RLS is pretty far for you into the pricess, so hopefully it will only last a couple of nights. I agree on the Hyland's. If all else failed, I would get out of bed and literally march around my house at 4 a.m. like some mentally ill majorette. The marching seemed to exercise the muscles for few minutes of relief. It's a shame I couldn't find my daughter's baton...at least I could have come up with some type of productive routine then. Seriously though, Hyland's, exercise, and patience...We're here for you!
Hylands restless legs helped me a lot, though I still had it pretty bad for a while and i had it in my arms too. hope you are doing ok ...
RLS...my nemesis during first weeks of withdrawal....you described itperfectly....who knows why it occurs and why it happens more at night and when you are tired....but bath help a lot....in the early days I took a ton of baths....i was a little prune....good luck with your journey
I would suggest flushing the pills you have left as they can eventually get very tempting. I read that you still have some. You are well on your way to a new life in beyond proud of you!

Yep! You are on your way to healing. It might be time to look into some kind of aftercare. It takes one addict to help another. Just be Safe and Hang in. YOU will see that the grass can be greener on the other side. Maybe that is because we take off those rose color glasses..Ha!!

Thank you for the info. I guess I've been lucky. I haven't had too many WD symptoms. The biggest one has been the exhaustion. Surprisingly, my back hasn't hurt too much since day 3. Hip and knee joints hurt but it's manageable. I've read your past posts, and the posts of others so I'm making myself get up and walk the property I live on. I was given Gabapentin and Baclofen to help with the WD's, but I'm not too keen on taking them. I actually thought it was the Gaba that was causing the RLS cause I hadn't had it before I took it but I took it only at bedtime, and since it's prescribed for RLS it obviously wasn't the cause. I don't like what I've read about it, so I probably won't continue it since it didn't help me. If this is the worst symptom I get I should consider myself lucky and tough it out.
Thank you to you and everyone else who's been so open. It was after reading here that I woke up Tuesday and decided no more meds. It wasn't even a difficult decision because I had seen how everyone else had made it through. I hope I can pay it forward!
YES..This is why they call it "Kicking the Habit". It will take some time for your Brain/Body to adjust back. Just hang tight and this will pass.
Get some Epsom salt and take Baths. This will help relax you, by relaxing the muscles too. Get some with lavender in it and this should help with sleep a bit. The Magnesium helps pull toxins out. Any signs of w/ds will take TIME to work it's self out. I took some great mixes of Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium and Ds at night. I still mix the Mag & Ds to this day. These will help a bit, but all vit/min take time to kick in. I also used to go and lay under a Big Heating Blanket. Coming off my 3 meds caused so much bone ache. Pick up some relaxing teas too.
