Great job Mook. Keep in mind that many of the pains we "think" we have will disappear after you get clean. It's really wild how the Opiates CAUSE us to feel pain. Most of my pains are now gone since I have been clean. Keep this in mind and be kind and patient with yourself over the next month. It will get better and better and after 2 weeks you will be MUCH better. But for now.... a day at a time. Keep sweating and building your natural endorphins.
Thanks everyone. I read your message OP8fool and there is so much helpful information there, I appreciate it. I agree that scorching hot works wonders for many of the issues I've experienced. I actually managed to sleep not too badly last night, apart from being awoken by pain in my knee and hip. In any case, today is Day 6.... onward and upwards!
Keep pushing Mook. It will get better and better with each day under your belt. I sent you a message with some suggestions, but make sure to work out like crazy and sweat as much as you can. Sauna if possible.
You really need to push the crap out of your body and the sooner you get it out the better. Plus exercising will restore your natural endorphins which is critical in shortening your WD's. Eat as healthy as possible and even juice if you can. Scorching hot showers or baths help with the RLS and overall crawling out of your skin feeling. I have heard that ICE baths work the same but I cant do the freezing cold thing. LOL Basically you want to make yourself shiver or shock to the temp of the water which gives you the relief. Good luck and keep pushing a day at a time.
Hey Mook! Look at you go! Your breakthrough is right around the corner!!!! One day at a time... Just ride it out and know that tomorrow will be better:)
Hi Mook, I sure hope that you have hit the peak. I remember that I started feeling much better after day 5. Be sure you are getting yourself outside for some fresh air. I think that on day 6 I went to Walmart and walked around. I was so worried that people could tell I was in withdrawals. Lol. I remember wanting to pick off some obnoxious teenagers in the parking lot. Oh, those were the days.
Hang in there! You are doing great!
