Please Help, I just found out I'm pregnant addicted to heroin...
I'm about 11-14 weeks pregnant im addicted to heroin and I am too scared to go to the doctor because i dont want them to take my baby :/ I would like to get help and know the safest way to detox for my baby's health and also is my baby going to be okay I am so scared the baby will have problems from using I just feel so horrible and scared I need to go to my first appointment but im too scared can someone please give me advice?
Hi and welcome to the forum. We have had many pregnant moms with addictions here. The best thing for you and your baby is to be honest with your doctor. It is very important as you can't cold turkey while you are pregnant as it could harm the baby. I am sure your doctor will work with you and have you taper off using something safe.
Doctors have heard it all and you will not be the first one to have an addiction problem that has sought help from him.
He should appreciate your honesty. If you try and hide it and they find out later that could make things worse for you.
Please see a doctor right away and be totally honest. I know it will be hard but it is really the only thing that you can do right now for the safety of your baby.

You will find lots of support here. Not so much this time of morning, but you will get it. Admitting you need help is the first step, which you did!
Scared.. Please keep posting, but most importantly, see a Dr! You are far enough along you should be seeing one by now. Meanwhile, are you taking vitamins I hope? Please get an appt ASAP, and be 100% honest with your Dr. He/she will help you! Glad you posted, please keep doing so!
