LOL!!!! Music is actually very relaxing and soothes the soul. That's probably why you wake up to that. Deep down your mind is soothing itself with music. Music is beautiful!!!
Have an awesome day!!!
HOORAY!! I found someone as weird as me! lol
OK, here's WEIRD for you...
I usually wake up with a song in my head. Sometimes it's something I heard recently, and sometimes it's a tune I haven't heard in years or decades.
Opiates or no opiates. Had it for years. No idea why.
The music library in my head is infinitely larger than my iPod. lol
Hi again!
My RLS did NOT bother me at all last night, but the Magnesium has really helped through the whole process. I think it will help you and from what I understand some doctor's tell you to take 1,500 mgs. each night. I only take about 500 mgs. and it works for me.
I was addicted to Lortab due to fibromyalgia, shoulder pain and back (sciatica) and was on 7.5 every 4 to 6 hours for a couple months and then when to taking 2 of them. Eventually my doctor put me on 10 mgs. every 4 to 6 hours and of course, I would often take 2 10 mgs. instead when the pain was the worse. By June I realized I was probably going to have an addiciton considering how long I was on them.
I'm not having cravings for the Lortab either, which has baffled me. I asked why that is and nobody has answered me. Maybe we don't have a mental addiction - just physical. I just don't know. I hope it doesn't mean it will hit me in a couple days on the mental side.
I'm glad they gave you something for the nauseau - that was horrible for me for awhile. I was taking Phenegren for that.
I had a weird dream last night too. I dreamt that I had to go to the hospital because I was feeling really, really sick. They ran tests and told me they had to do surgery but they wouldn't do it because of my addiction to Lortab. They told me without the surgery I would have 6 to 7 months to live. Pretty weird, eh?
Good luck Hun! You can and will get past the worst of it soon!!!
RLS was the worst part for me. I took as many hot baths a day as I could and I would rub my legs with a mentholated muscle rub and then wrap them tight, but not too tight, with ace bandages. That worked wonders for me.They also sell an otc med at Walmart called Hylands Restful Legs. All the best....Kim
Thanks for the head's up on the magnesium. I see you are on Day 9....how is your RLS today? Do you have any other symptoms you're trying to deal with? Is your RLS under control or pretty bad right now? What was your DOC?
I ended up taking 25mg of hydroxyzine pamoate for the dizziness. (A powerful antihistamine prescription drug I got from my doctor.) The side effect is that it also treats dizziness, motion sickness, vertigo, and nausea that may go with it. Good news is, it really works! Bad news is, it knocks me out and makes me heavy, foggy, and spacey. Forget driving a car or doing anything useful for the next 6 hours or so. lol
Other good news is I have not had any cravings for the hydros. In fact, the thought of taking a hydro makes me feel a little....ill, and reminds me of the upset stomach I would get when popping a pill (about half of the time). This sensation of feeling repulsed by opiates is completely new for me, and I like that feeling. When I finally fell asleep last night, I had a dream my doc gave me more opiates. In my dream I screamed in shear horror and woke myself up. lol Yes, I am weird.
My legs would move all over at night (I have RLS anyway and this was worse) and so I increased my Magnesium I take every night. They also say Calcium will help and eating a banana before bedtime. I'm not sure about the dizziness, but I hope these suggestions for the RLS will help.
By the way, I was like you - days 4,5,6 were my worst days! Hang in there - you CAN get through this. My doctor prescribed medication for anxiety that I take sparingly since I don't want another addiction on top of the Lortab. I'm doing great today! Just take it one day at a time and believe in yourself!!!!
