I got a sponsor today & meet a nurse getting her license back. Things are looking up.
Thanks,
I'm taking the aminos, cal/mag/zinc, vitamin, b12, going to meetings actually calling a couple of women off the phone list:)
I deep down inside, in my soul already know I'm better mentally & spiritually if only the physical would catch up. I know I have to pay for the damage I've done. I've gotten dressed & talked to more people in the last 8 days than in the last 18 months put together. Thanks to every body for giving me the courage to try. I know googling "is it possible to get off methadone" & being directed to this site was no accident but a direction from GOD.
That's methadone for you, you are in acute withdrawal. Time WILL speed up, I would definitely get a protein shake, the amino acids are really needed right now to heal you. Keep moving and stay as distracted from how you feels as possible. Hang in there, a few more days and you should feel like it's getting a little easier. The it just keeps getting better and better. You are free! That is progress, even if it feels horrible.
i forgot to add - light exercise. just a walk around the block will do wonders.
you have to get your natural 'feel good' chemicals going in your brain. it has not had to make them for awhile.
exercise
laughing
music
are just 3 ways to get them pumping.
so go for a walk wearing headphones with your favorite music blaring, come home and watch some funny movies online or on tv
i totally understand. it has been over 60 days and i still feel like i have ran a marathon just going to the kitchen.
by no means will this be you, i have other health issues that contribute to my exhaustion.
i want to go gnc and ask them for help. there has to be something to help with this.
make sure you are getting nutrients. drink boost or ensure or carnation instant breakfast 3 times a day as well as try and eat some solid food if you can.
you should be turning a corner any day now as long as you are not dehydrated and getting protein. lacking those will make it last longer for you.
day 10 seems to be the number i see the most for people getting better
I want you to feel better, too! It would help if you took the things suggested to you...but you don't want to so...all you can do is be patient.
Are you staying well hydrated? Drinking Gatorade at least? That has the Vits and Minerals that your body NEEDS right now...
