Hi all!   I have been a member here for a good while now and haven't posted in a long time.  Anyway I am here today cause I relapsed and I'm getting clean again.  This time I'm using suboxone but just for a short stint.....a week at the most!   Any support of advice will be great!

I am a heroin addict clean 6 months. I relapsed many times over a period of time. only did i stop relapsing when i got my councillor and started na meetings. Addiction like IBK said is a disease and you cant do this alone, i hope im wrong. But as iv said i used heroin for 13 years went through cold turkey many times that was the easy part. The mental thing was what always caused me to relapse always. only when i got outside help have i been able to stay clean. I wish you the best of luck and that took courage to come back and say you were using again Good luck and i hope everything works out for you ,,,James

You state where you were struggling mentally. Do you think this time will be different? I know what you are thinking hun, I have been there many times. And it wasn't until I got outside help and realized that I had a disease that I began to heal. After the Suboxone the mental will hit you again. Without support my fear is that you will use again.

You say that you don't have time for counseling. The truth is you can't afford not to.

Whatever you decide I wish you the best and hope it all works out for you.

I don't really have time tondo the counseling.  I'm using my friend as my helper cause he went through it a while ago and is doing great on the sub.  I feel my addiction has been short enough I can kill it in a short amount of time.  I have 3 wonderful kids and an awesome wife that don't need this problem!

Good for you for getting clean again. Are you doing counseling along with the Suboxone program? I can't believe you found a doctor to do it with you for only a week. They don't normally do that. In any case, I hope you are ding the whole program and taking this time to get your life together.
