I just found out that the 90-day facility (that was really nice.... the rooms looked like college dorms) that i planned on going 2 dosent accept patiens on benzodiazapenes and im on Klonopin for anxiety disorder all i can think is DAMN!(didnt want my word censored)

This is ridiculous I can't believe someone reaching out for help is denied b/c of real medication! I have major anxiety issues as well and I understand that you can't just stop taking ur medication. I hope someone takes you hon, if your in detox and have a note from your doctor saying you need the benzo and they control it and give it to you as perscribed I don't see why an exception can't be made for you Ridiculous! Please keep trying and keep us posted.

So you are looking for a rehab that will allow you to take Benzo's while they get you off of opiates ?

That should be possible.....It's sad but some of these rehabs are in compation with the other rehabs....this is big bussiness....

i cant wean off i need the medication  if they take me off it going to rehab will be worthless ill just be a walking panick atack and my chance of relapse with my DOC will b inevitable

well talk to them.  see if you can work something out,  like weaning before you go there...

don't let this little blip in your plan for recovery stop you.

easy for me to say, i realize - but if there's a will - there's a way.

do what it takes to get in there, or somewhere else.

you can make it happen.. just push.

i have insurance.. im just gonna call every rehab in NY 2morrow and see if ne will accept me.. thats all i can do if ne body reads this and knows of a rehab in NY state(preferably in upstate or on long island) that alllows clients with anxiety problems to take benzo medication any feedback would be more than greatly appreciated im freaking out i had this plan in place and it got the rug pulled out from under it

Well since the facility won't accept you with that drug, then they must not have a program for that and are not the right answer for you anyway. So the place looked great.
that is not important. were you going to spend some money doing this? or insurance coverage?

I am sorry to hear this! I didn't realize that treatment centers didn't treat or accept patients that were or weren't on certain drugs. I am sure you will find a better place to go to! Were they able to refer you to one?

Ok what's plan B? Can you detox at home? Take some time off and just concentrate on you for a few days? Is there another place you can go that will let you have the medication you need?
You aren't screwed, I know it feels that way but where there's a will there's a way hon you just hafta find it.
