Feeling Needy

I've been weaning since Saturday. So this is day 6. Felt anxious,  had cold sweats, shaky, insomnia... The worst of it was the first 3 days. It has now been 30 hours since I have taken anything,  and that was just a half. I was feeling great yesterday but woke up in middle of the night feeling restless. I just want to be done with this. I want to not feel wd symptoms. I want to not crave the meds. Ugh.... When will this end? How can I sanely get through the thick of it?

Would love some ongoing support....feeling very needy right now and like nobody gets it. :(

Good Morning & Congrats again on day two pasquisha! :)

Nice to see you posting a 'clean' thread. :)

Believe me, we all 'get it' -- You're NOT alone, here. :) You're on an emotional roller coaster right now which is COMPLETELY 'normal' during detox. These Ups & downs should level out in the next several weeks.

I'm not sure how old you are or if you had previous opiate habits to the Norcos & percs but the good news is that you used the for a relatively short amt. of time and had a mild to moderate habit. So, you have every chance of healing well, after the 'acutes' are over. (Btw, this is in no way meant to minimize what you're going through!) Detox is detox & there's no real way around it. Here are some things that might help:

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate & continue to hydrate going forward. It's necessary in order to flush that cr*p from your system & for healing :) (that'd be 2 to 3 liters of plain water per day). If you have gut issues, use Imodium as per instructions (It'll be your best friend;). Try to stay away from Caffeine, energy drinks/soda, sugar, alcohol & processed/junk foods. Eat small healthy meals when you can. Exercise! I know that it's hard but even if it's a slow short walk in the sun & fresh air it will help. The sun & air will help w/ mood & also aid you in 'redirecting' your heart & mind. The hot salt baths & Cal/Mag/zinc that Jinx mentioned will both help to sooth you. The baths will help with detox & aches. The Cal/Mag w/ RLS & it also has a slightly sedative effect. (Don't overdue it though, as it will worsen the runs!) Funny movies (i.e. laughter) & your favorite music w/ earbuds will help to fire those old endorphins, lift you up & distract your heart & mind. Post here as much as you like in the next several days -- vent, ask questions, journal, reach out to folks, laugh, cry -- whatever you need. This is YOUR place!

Keep up the Good work! You'll get through this.

We're here & we're pulling for you.:)
