Going RLS crazy..

Hi all, I'm in night #8 right now of being off norco 10s. I feel pretty good all day, have my appetite back took a forty five minute walk today. Then night time rolls around and I can't get any sleep, my legs just want to keep moving. I'm so tired and sleep deprived. I'm not really thinking about the pills I just want sleep. I've tried Epsom baths, exercise, melatonin, potassium, magnesium, some herbal sleep stuff and hylands leg. No relief. Every night I think it's gonna be the night I get a goods night rest but to no avail. I'm at a loss.. It *****. I also tried the heating pad and ace bandages the heat helps a bit but then I get so dang hot.. I don't know what to do, I stay home with kids and I need rest. Any other suggestions or do I just have to wait it out? How long do u think this could go on? I was taking the norcos heavy for 8 months and dabbling with the vicodin only in the evening for 6 months or so before I went and got my own norco script. Thanks in advance for any help. Tonight is probably hopeless but tomorrow is another day. Thanks again..

Night 11 right now and the rls is still kicking. I'm so sick of it. I know there's nothing much I can do about it. I'm just venting. Typing in my iPhone takes my mind off the legs. Ya know? Does anyone have any idea how long this could last? I don't want to go see a doctor but I can't handle this for much more than a few more days. I've tried just about everything(non script). No real relief except one decent night but the rls was still there. I don't know.. I hate this. I feel great all day then miserable at night, I'm so tired..gonna try to sleep I hope. Check ya all in a.m. Oh wait it is almost the a.m.

i don't know if this is appropriate or not the moderator will either post it or not but hearing you suffer is bothering me as i did so for three days, and it's not over until it is..i take benadryl for allergies and it actually helps me sleep it's otc. like anything holistic or otherwise watch out for signs of dependence.  hot bathing is great as much as you can it relaxes me tons.. milk has calcium and magnesium if you like milk maybe have hot chocolate with less chocolate in it.  along with melatonin hoping this will help you.  also be aware of your diet as if we pile up foods high in sugar this will cause us to race.  oh and if you have limewire you could download native american flute music really relaxing!  blessings,  Patty

I'm taking potassium tablets I'm not the biggest banana fan but I am eating one a day. I think I'm coming to the conclusion that I just have to wait it out. It's only day 9. I just hope the rls doesn't last that much longer.

Yea, it was weird last night. The wds felt like they were coming back albeit much milder. I just can't sleep for ****. I'm sick of it. Part of it might be anxiety. I don't know? I start thinking about being up most of the night and it's hard to take my mind off it. Although I know the rls isn't imaginary, it's legit and I can't stand it. But any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.. Maybe this is normal I just thought the Jimmy legs would be over by now. Thanks again for any info or ideas.

I remember day 8. I thought the W/D's were starting over and then things started to improve greatly. The Ace bandages after a hot bath with something to help me sleep was the only relief I could find for the crazy legs. I hope you find something to help....someone will be here shortly with a better idea.

You are almost done with this.....stay focused.

I know it's only been a little while since I started this thread but I didn't want it to get buried. It's 8 in am I got about 3 maybe 4 hours of sleep( not very sound) but I guess it'll have to do. Please let me know if there is anything else I can try besides prescriptions or diphenhydramine(allergy sleep meds) they make it worse for me. Thanks alot..
