From detox to rehab

I want to go to rehab but have no money or insurance.  I detoxed off of methadone in April and wasn't able to afford rehab....... The 14 days in a Florida detox were the only two weeks of being "sober" I have experienced....... I am currently in full relapse mode, and desperately in need of rehab.  How does one get into a good facility without any means of doing so?  Are there any ways to get help?

AH420,

I just googled, public assistance and floriday drug rehab and there are several that popped up in FL that do not charge you anything. Trust me, they will get paid by the government somehow, they always get their money but you may want to google this and find one in your florida location.

do they have county help where you live? alot of places will go back 3 mo if you check into a hospital for a rehab reason you should be able to fill out the paperwork and the can backdate it, most (not all) hospitals cant turn a patient away for not being able to pay there should be somewhere that can take you also social services could help, but then you get people involved in your life so i would only do that if you dont mind having people check up on your buisness, i hope you find the right place for you i know the whole prosess *****....you can find out about financial help with a phone call so maybe try calling around someone should be thre to help you also try calling a treatment facility they would know best...good luck and god bless, will pray you find a spot!

Never really researched too much about this....but I have read a few times that there are "free" rehabs or sometimes poeple may be elgible for free state subsidized care, and then there are free "sober living houses" that someone could check into.  Unfortunatly, I wouldn't know the first place to start...other than google.

Maybe someone with a little more knowlege on the subject will ring in soon.... I just wanted to keep your question at the top of the forum, since noone has answered it yet.

Good luck to you....
